Presented for your consideration is an elegant bracelet from Victorian period.
The bracelet is 6 1/2" circumference, 3/8" wide.
The bracelet is braided of gold double fox tail chains.
It is equipped with a box push-in clasp embellished with
Etruscan revival filigree and old European cut diamond.
A very special original latch holds the bracelet locked securely
(see photo for locking/unlocking directions).
It locks and unlocks with buttons pressed simultaneously.
The latch measures 9/16" X 1/2".
Additional security provided with a safety chain.
There is no hallmarks, tested 14K gold.
Total weight is 15.3 grams.
The old European cut diamond is approx. 2.5 mm or 0.06 CT.
It's clarity is approx. VS1-VS2, it is colorless approx. G grade.
The bracelet is durable and feels comfortable on wrist.
Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
There are some traces of glue on the back of the bracelet near the latch.
It apparently was applied to prevent scratching on the skin
by sharp wire edges,
