A lovely pair of Victorian opera glasses in brass with inlaid panels in mauve mother of pearl.
CONDITION: There is no damage to the brass or mother of pearl. The metalwork is a little scuffed in places, but generally retains its original finish.

A superb pair of Victorian opera glasses. They are constructed from brass with pale mauve mother of pearl panels on the outer barrels. Mother-of-Pearl is in shaped sections around the barrels of the glasses. They have a double extension handle again with mother of pearl panels. All original parts intact.
The focus wheel in the centre opens the glasses to full length to adjust focus.
The optics are clean and scratch free with good, smooth, sharp focussing.
An excellent example of a useful and highly collectable optical instrument which can still be employed for the opera, theatre etc
The glasses come with a red leather pouch which is in good condition.
