A collection of four vintage hair slides from the mid to later 20th century

MATERIALS: celluloid faux tortoiseshell

DESCRIPTION:

These four barrettes are all made in celluloid faux tortoiseshell. They are of a classic type where a bar fits through holes in a base plate to hold it in position against the hair. Such ornaments are typical of the period 1970s and 1980s but were being used from the mid century. Therefore it is not possible to state in which decade they originated.
