Butler and Wilson of England has been in business since 1969. Simon Wilson and Nicky Butler went into business together and the business flourished until 1990’s when their partnership broke up. Simon Wilson retained the B&W name.
Nicky Butler & Simon Wilson began selling antique jewellery in 1969 from their stand in their Antiquarius Market in the King's Road, Chelsea. From there they expanded their colourful and glamorous range of jewellery which has been patronised by many of the world's most beautiful women, including Catherine Deneuve, Faye Dunaway, Charlotte Rampling, and Jerry Hall. They have designed jewellery for the Giorgio Armani Collection and Princess Diana wore their creations. More recently Kate Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge and wife of Prince Andrew) has patronised the company.
Their iconic pieces are renowned for their sheer glitz and glamour. Their jewellery was well made and utilized Austrian rhinestones and crystals all prong set and set into base gun metal, rhodium, polished gold plated or silver plated metals. The jewellery was very popular and was sought after because of its global flair.
