This happy baby was made in Germany by Kley & Hahn, circa 1910-1920’s. She is approx. 18” long, sleep eyes and on a nice , early composition body. She is well marked “K H Germany 158/9”. Her bisque is good- no rubs, chips or cracks. Her body is good - someone has repainted the red lines on the hands and feet - there is a paper thin crack in the composition on one leg- it is not rising and stable- she has all her fingers and toes. She wears a beautiful antique gown and slip- it is in good shape- it is free from stains, odors, tears and yellowing. Her sleep eyes are missing most of the original eye lid wax - what wax is left is covered in dirt- you can tell she was stored in an attic or similar by the dirt on the wax. She also has 2 pits in her bisque- like what you see in china heads that are stored in attics or sheds- the pits are clean and cause no damage to the bisque - I just want you to be aware. I purchased this baby at a good price so I am passing my good luck on to you! Just good karma! Any questions please email. Thank you for your interest!
