These are 2 painted bisque, Japanese babies, circa 1950. They are approx. 3 3/4" long, jointed limbs, hand painted faces and incised. The baby in the yellow romper has his original clothes- they are worn. They are crudely made- there was a period after the war that everything coming out of Japan was crude and these dolls are a good example. The baby in white has a crack at the shoulder- this was done at the factory. The both have good stringing. Any questions please email. Thank you for your interest!
