What an unusual and hard to find doll. She was made in Germany, circa 1870. Stone bisque was used on the early miniature dolls. She is approx. 3 5/8" tall, incised "2" on her back, hand painted face, bare feet and jointed at the arms and legs. The stone bisque is in good shape- no breaks or crack with a few chips at the joints. She is wired but I am sure she was originally strung and wood pegged. The molding on her hands and feet is primitive. Her clothing is made from antique fabrics and free from stains, odors or tears. Any questions please e- mail. Thank you for your interest!
