Very Rare Japanese Jimmu Tenno samurai doll, this is a fine example of a Boys Day doll in the form of the legendary first emperor of Japan Jimmu Tenno. He is mounted to a silk covered stand and has his quiver with arrows and sword. He is well made and has an amazing personality with fine features. He is wear a golden crown, beautiful silk brocade garments and a long beaded necklace. He shows a little bit of wear and age, and his clothing and stand have just a slight soiling, but he is in wonderful condition for his age. Please see photos carefully for details. Measures with his stand about 9" H x 7 1/2" D x 8 1/2" W. He is in his original glass case. The glass case is 13"H x 9"D x 22"W and is showing some age. The background in the case for this doll is decorated with lovely small vignettes of artwork and also showing age.
