As souvenir dolls go this is an out-standing example of India's crafts. She dates back to mid to early 1900's and is all complete. She is all cloth and nicely packed. Her face is painted with big eyes, blue eyeshadow, and red lips, and pearl earrings in her ears. Her nose is pierced and is bejeweled, and her fingernails are painted red. Her hair has two long braids, one under her sari and the other exposed and also is jeweled. Her sari is beautifully wrapped around her and sewn on. It is covering a fully clothed doll. I still do not know the full extent because I will not remove the sari. Under her outfit she is wearing linen bloomers and gold shoes. She is standing on a round black wood pedestal.
Her condition is good slight wear and rips to sari, but still a fabulous doll. Please refer to photo's.
