Layaway available. Really nice display set for the compo or celebrity collector. Factory Original Baby Sandy composition doll with her ORIGINAL BOX and 1939 LIFE MAGAZINE Cover. Made by Freundlich, she is all composition and stands 11" tall. She is all original from head to toe in her pink dress with onesie underneath and her oil cloth shoes and factory socks. She is probably one of the nicer Baby Sandy dolls I have seen in a long time. She has typical crazing from age and time. Painted molded hair is nice. Face has all original painted facial features. She has a tiny compo chip by her nose. Please use zoom so you can see her well. Baby Sandy has all fingers. She is strung well so she can hold a pose nicely. Clothing is clean and free of any holes or tears. Her original box is in fair condition. The top cover is missing. It has some very old tape on it and some creases. Wonderful graphics of Baby Sandy on all sides of the box. The Life magazine is complete and in nice condition. The cover to the magazine is the same on the Freundlich box. It would look wonderful framed. Dated August 14. 1939. This dolly is display ready. It is very rare to find her with her box and in all original clothing. Baby Sandy was Universals answer to a very successful Shirley Temple and was discovered to compete with Shirley. No repaints. No repairs. Very cute doll and very nice set for display. Layaway available.
