Factory original composition 17" Patsy Joan by Effanbee. This is the 2nd version of the doll circa 1939 - early 40s. This later version of Patsy Joan was made to look a little older to compete with other dolls of her time period that had a little bit of an older look such as Shirley Temple or Deanna Durbin. She has a more girlish body with a "Y" shape rear end and is taller than the original Patsy Joan who is 16" tall. The 17" Patsy Joan is the only Effanbee doll that is marked on the back EFFANDBEE instead of Effanbee. 6 piece all composition body. Molded hair. working clear sleep eyes with all lash. She is very sweet and display ready. All original from head to toe. Wears her ORIGINAL red FACTORY EFFANBEE DRESS w/ attached panties and MATCHING BONNET. The dress has faded from age. Wears ORIGINAL red oilcloth Shoes and Socks. One shoe has a broken snap. Bonnet is red and has faded too. Strung well so she holds a pose nicely. She is in played with condition. Has typical crazing, nicks and scratches from age and play. A craze concealer will cover most of her crazing. She has some compo nicks to her legs and on her chin.No lifting. Has all fingers. Hair nice with only slight paint rubs. Has all fingers. She has a light stable seam crack around her head that can be seen in pics. Very stable and not going anywhere. Covered by her bonnet. Please use zoom feature so you can see her well. Display ready. She is not perfect but still Very sweet and highly collectible Patsy Family doll. Played with condition.
