Beautifully made and excellent quality. The durability of these finely crafted shoes is remarkable. They were made sometime in the last third of the 19th century and made for the Bloomingdale Bros. department store, New York. Fine brown leather, high top lace up style with a stacked heel and lined with a thin herringbone pattern fabric. Original laces and leather soles. One boot is marked on the inside with the Bloomingdale Bros. mark, both are marked with the numbers 345 39220 621; both have the manufacturer's logo embossed on the soles. Shoes measure around 10 inches heel to toe and are extremely narrow, just 2 7/8 inches across the ball of the foot. Some wear as you can see on back seem, soles and toes (sounds worse than it is) but overall condition is very good++.
