Found in a small antique, brass studded century trunk. The collection held several doll dresses, ensembles and hats; almost all were fashioned mid-19th century style with a few from the early part of the 20th, and made from fabrics of the same period. (Photo of collection below so you can see what it looked like.) Hand and machine stitched, this dress was made from a light cotton dotted Swiss around 1890-1910. It has a pleated bodice, and measured flat is around 3 1/2 in. shoulder to shoulder, 3 in. across the waist, 9 in. shoulder to hem. Needs some TLC as sleeves need to be re-set and were crudely stitched in.
