Found in a small antique, brass studded century trunk. The collection held several doll dresses, ensembles and hats; almost all were fashioned mid-19th century style with a few from the early part of the 20th, and made from fabrics of the same period. (A picture of the collection is below so you can see what it looked like.)
This dress is circa 1860s and features simple styling with empire waist, long sleeves and full skirt. Hand stitched and measured flat, around 3 1/4 in. shoulder to shoulder, underarm to under arm around 4 in., sleeves are about 3 1/2 in., 9 1/2 in. neck to hem. Fade to fabric, needs snaps or buttons at back and could use a warm steam iron.
