Clog shoes have been worn in many countries, for many centuries. These clogs were probably Scandinavian "traesko" and likely made in Denmark or Sweden; possibly first half 18th century. The soles are wood with a stacked Queen Anne heel (looks like pine) and the uppers are embossed leather. Measure about 7 1/4 inches heel to toe and around 2 1/8 across the ball of the foot. Heavy patina on wood, leather dried out and has some cracking. Even so, the clogs are great examples of ancient footwear.
