Harry Bouras (American, 1931-1990) mixed media abstract collage painting on board, cut paper, burned paper, and thick stain, circa 1970, signed lower right “H. Bouras”. Bouras was an artist and art critic in Chicago during the 1960’s and while not a member was the inspiration for the name of Chicago’s Hairy Who art movement. Framed in wood frame with linen matting. Measures 20in x 17in framed and 16in x 12in image only. Condition: Image in excellent vintage condition, framing has several minor nicks and chips, small stains to matting noticeable under scrutiny.
