Hindu Pichhwai painting on cotton depicting popular tale of a mischievous Krishna up in a Kadamba tree surrounded with the garments of the Unmarried Gopi Girls who are naked in a pool beneath the tree beseeching him to return their clothes. Circa Late 19th early 20th century. Well framed in nicely grained wood frame under glass. Measures 45in x 35in framed and 43in x 33.5in image only. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The light spot you see top left corner is a reflection from the photo lights.
