We purchased this directly from the attics of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. Delfau was a costume and set designer for many important 20th century dance and ballet companies including Chicago Lyric Opera, The Royal Ballet - Great Britain, De-Cuevas, Harkness, Royal Danish. A life long friend of Ruth Page they married late in life after her first husband died. Costume Design for Ruth Page productions of Die-Fledermaus, Bullets and Bon-Bons, Mephistofela, Pygmalion, Conertino for Three, Carmina Burana, Catulli Carmina, Chain of Fools, Carmen for dance theatre of Harlem, Alice in Wonderland and many others throughout a lifetime of creative output.
