William Kent Hagerman (American, 1893-1977). “Midwest Stock Exchange - Chicago”, circa 1950, etching depicting the Louis Sullivan designed trading room from the now demolished old Chicago/Midwest Stock Exchange. Pencil signed and titled in lower margin. Hagerman attended the Cleveland School of Art as well as the Sorbonne in Paris. He worked at commercial and fine art producing a number of etchings of Chicago city scenes. The room was salvaged and is part of the Art Institute of Chicago permanent collection. Framed in wood frame, double matted under glass. Measures 15.25in x 12.25in framed and 10.25 x 8in image only. Condition: Etching in excellent condition.
