Published by the Gazette des Beaux Arts. This engraving - a beautiful example of French Japonisme - was made by a complex technique invented by the artist. Described as a gravure au marteau sur argent, it was engraved on a silver plate painstakingly hammered with chisels. Ref: Sanchez & Seydoux 1914-2. Measures 10.75 x 7.25in.
