Wonderfully shaped silverplate fish service with elegantly scrolled handles and engraved tops. The knives are very unusually shaped and function as food pushers as well and cutting utensils. Fitted wood presentation box with two tiers inside. Circa 1880. Hallmarks for Henry Wilkinson & Son, Sheffield, England. 24 pieces, consisting of 12 forks and 12 knives. Forks measure 7 /18” length and knives 8 ½” length. Condition: The utensils are showing wear to the silverplate witnessed as a slight darkening in spots. The lid of presentation box is split, and the interior dividers are loose, fabric lining is well worn.
