Jan Miller (Illinois/Florida, 20th-21sth C.) Untitled, circa 1980’s, Acrylic painting on canvas depicting three brown pelicans on the beach with the emptiness of sea and expanse of beach taking up a good portion of the image, signed lower right edge. Nicely framed in painted wood shadow box frame the image wrapping around the edges of the stretchers. Measures 44in x 34in framed and 40in x 30in image only. Condition: Excellent condition. Jan Miller was born and raised in Chicago. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Jr. School, Grandview College, Des Moines, IA and St. Xavier College, Chicago, IL, B.F.A. 1973. She currently resides in Florida. Works held in the collections of: Illinois State Museum, Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, Jesse Besser Museum in Michigan and in many corporate and private collections throughout the United States.
