Alfred “Al” Jackson (American, 1940-2001) Still life of eggs with water droplets, circa 1960, oil painting on canvas, signed lower right in red. Framed in carved wood frame. Measures 29in x 25in framed and 19.5in 15.5in image only. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Jackson studied art at the American Academy in Chicago, Illinois. For a time he was employed as a commercial artist and then painted mostly still life paintings. He was fascinated with water droplets he reportedly would sit at his easel for hours at a time, painting and repainting a drop of moisture or the stem of a vegetable or fruit to get it just right.
