This Victorian brass skirt lifter assisted a lady in bad weather, in strolling along the trash strewn streets, during dances, or playing appropriate ( for a victorian lady ),games. The clip is complete,with it's pads, the ring is on, to use a ribbon or chain with, to facilitate lifting the bottom of the skirt out of harms way. The design is a roman soldier with some bay leaves above his head. It is the same on both sides. It is 5.25" long. Circa 1880's. Shipping and insurance is included.
