Presented by Yellow Garage dealer Willowgreen Antiques is an unusual redware barrel on a stand with applied yellow and green slip decoration. The term redware is used for any common clay stoneware pottery fired using a local reddish colored clay. The keg was made in the early 20th century. It has a spout and applied flower decorations on the barrel ends and top. There are also representations of the “iron straps” used to hold together a real wooden barrel. The keg is generally in very good condition with some minor loss to the redware on the base as seen in the pictures. For redware collectors this barrel will make an unusual and colorful display.
