Here is a gorgeous, vintage enamel & rhinestone Coro Duette, Cockatiel pin brooch that can be worn as a double bird pin or 2 separate fur clips, signed and dating to 1941. Each bird measures 2 ½” tall by 1” wide. When the birds are held together by the pin plate on the back, they measure 2¾” tall by 1 ¾” wide. The bodies of the birds are hand painted in white and red enamel with a studded rhinestone chest. They are perched on a branch of pink, purple and blue flowers with green leaves, all meticulously hand painted by hand. This Duette was named Calopsitta meaning Cockatiel in Portuguese and was patented Number 1798867 by Gene Verrecchio for the Coro Company in 1941. This Duette is a rare one and is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the enamel and has all the original bright clear rhinestone accents. These fabulous birds are looking for a new home and would make a great addition to any woman’s Coro collection.
