Here is a rare original set of World’s Fair embroidered uniform jacket shoulder patches dating to 1940. The shield shaped patch measures 3” high by 3” wide and the round patch measures 1 ¾” in diameter. These bright orange and dark blue patches were worn on the official jacket uniforms of employees and guides at the 1939/40 Flushing World’s Fairgrounds and were not available to the general public making then very scarce to find today. The dimensional precision embroidery design features the World’s Fair Perisphere & Trylon logo with the year 1940 and a matching color embroided edging on each patch. These particular patches were never worn or sewn onto uniforms and are in original mint condition. What a great rare addition to ad to anyone’s World’s Fair collectibles objects.
