Here is a gorgeous very rare Sterling Zuni Native American squash blossom necklace and earring set dating to the 1960’s/70’s. It measures 22” long and has 10 inlaid sun face kachinas each measuring 7/8” in diameter plus a matching center drop kachina measuring 1 5/8” high by 1 3/8” wide. The set includes matching post earrings each featuring a ¾” kachina and the necklace is strung on wire with all the original bench made beads and a simple hook eye closure. This piece was handmade by one of the most famous Zuni Native American jewelry artists, Ashbarry Gasper but is unsigned and weighs in at 66.2 grams. The incredibly intricate handset inlay necklace and earring design consists of mother of pearl, turquoise, onyx, and coral each in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. This very rare Zuni Native American squash blossom set would make a great additional to any woman’s vintage jewelry collection.
