Here is a gorgeous large statement Trifari Art Deco fruit salad dress clip dating to the mid 1930’s. It measures 2” high by 2 ¼” wide and 3/8” in thickness and is marked Pat #180112. The clip is designed with 3 beautiful foiled open back glass fruit salad chevrons in a medium blue surrounded by 5 large faceted oval glass stones and 2 teardrop shaped stones plus multiple smaller clear rhinestones that finish off this breathtaking Art Deco design. The dress clip is made of Rhodium plated base metal and is in excellent vintage condition with only one tiny surface scratch on one of the chevrons consistent with age and gentle use being mentioned to be accurate. The clip has all its original bright clear sparkly glass stones and the clip back has firm snap to it and is mechanically tight when closed. Dress clips are very versatile; they can be worn on pockets, collars, the neckline of blouses, dresses (as they were during the 30's and 40's) and t-shirts, sweaters as well as hang them on a velvet cord or a chain to make a beautiful necklace. It can also be used to dress up a hand bag, belt or scarf as well.
