Here is a gorgeous Art Deco , gold-filled sweetheart expansion stretch bracelet dating to the World War II era c 1940’s. The band measures ½” high with a center plaque that is 1” in diameter and has a 2” inside diameter which is considered small and expands to fit a wrist from 5 ½” to 6 ½” comfortably. This quality bracelet has large center placard with a beautiful layered petals and 9 red rhinestones completing the center design. The expansion band features scroll decorated links which alternate with smooth and polished gold filled links, plus the inside of the bracelet has a smooth finish which is comfortable on the wrist. The bracelet is marked with a Lustern Logo 1/20 12K Gold Filled that stands for the Louis Stern Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. They manufactured fine gold filled jewelry and watch chains from the 1870’s through the early 1950’s. This sweetheart bracelet is in very good vintage condition and looks like it was never worn very much, with no scratches or dings of any kind. Bracelets like this were often sent as gifts by soldiers stationed in Europe and Asia to their wives, moms, sisters and sweethearts at home. A great vintage original this bracelet would make a wonderful addition to any woman’s vintage jewelry wardrobe.
