Here is a rare Art Deco Trifari signed dress clip fur clip designed by Alfred Philippe dating to 1948. It measures 1 3/8” wide by 1 ½” high and has over 80 clear round small and medium rhinestones completing the beautiful Deco design. The clip is rhodium plated and signed on the back with the Crown Trifari logo, Trifari, Pat Pend Sterling and the back has a secure c clasp safety catch. Dress clips are very versatile; they can be worn on pockets, collars, the neckline of blouses, dresses (as they were during the 30's and 40's) as well as hang them on a velvet cord or a chain to make a beautiful necklace. It can also be used to dress up a hand bag, belt or scarf as well. This clip is in good vintage condition with all the original rhinestones some of which have naturally turned light gray due to its age and gentle use being mentioned to be accurate. The spring clip mechanism is tight and operates normally and stays firmly closed. This rare original Crown Trifari Art Deco dress clip would make a great addition to any woman’s jewelry collection.
