Here is a gorgeous high-quality pair of large Art Deco rhinestone dress clips dating to the 1930’s. Each one measures 1 ¾” high by 1 ½” wide and ¼” in thickness. The clips each have multiple swirly designs using round, baguettes, teardrop and marquis shaped stones all original to the piece. Dress clips are very versatile; they can be used as pairs or singles and can be worn on pockets, collars, the neckline of blouses, dresses (as they were during the 30's and 40's) and t-shirts, as well as hang them over a velvet cord or a chain to make a beautiful necklace. They can be used to dress up a hand bag, belt or scarf as well. The clip backs are marked Pat 180112 and have firm snap to them when shut and are mechanically tight when closed. These very dramatic Art Deco dress clips are in very good vintage condition with all their original clear bright shiny rhinestones. There are only a few slightly dark baguette stones along the bottom edge and 2 tiny round stones in the middle all consistent with their age and use and being mentioned to be accurate. These rare dress clips are spectacular in person and would make a great addition to any woman’s vintage jewelry collection.
