Here is a gorgeous vintage hand-made Sterling silver multi-inlay gemstones pendant and chain designer signed Melvin Francis a well-known Navajo artist and silversmith. The oval shaped pendant measures1 ¾” high by 1 ¼” wide with a 5/8” bale mounted on a 16” Fostner Sterling snake chain. All the gemstones are hand cut and inlaid between thin sterling channels creating this beautiful gemstone montage of Lapis, Opal, Surgilite and Turquoise. The gemstone inlay oval center is framed with by a twisted silver rope design and the finished edges have a complimentary scalloped oval design. The pendant is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to any of the gemstones only some very light surface scratches observed under magnification not visible with the naked eye being mentioned to be accurate. This magnificent Sterling gemstone original pendant would make a great addition to any woman’s Navajo jewelry collection.
