Here is a gorgeous Art Deco Coro trembler dress clip known as Quivering Camellia designed and copyrighted by Gene Verrecchio and dating to the late 1930’s. It measures 1 ½” wide by 1 ½” high and ½” deep and is marked Pat 1852188 on the clip back. This dress clip is designed as a 3-dimensional quivering flower with blue marquise rhinestone quivering petals. The flower is surrounded by stems of clear round rhinestones and a dark green hand painted enamel leaf with clear and blue baguettes complimenting the final color design. Dress clips are very versatile; they can be worn on pockets, collars, the neckline of blouses, dresses (as they were during the 30's and 40's) and t-shirts, as well as hanging over a velvet cord or a chain to make a beautiful necklace. It can also be used to dress up a hand bag, belt or scarf. The clip back has a spring-loaded mechanism that has a firm snap to it when shut and is mechanically tight when closed and is in very good vintage condition with all its original clear and colored rhinestones. This rare high quality Coro dress clip would make a great addition to any woman’s jewelry vintage collection.
