Reed & Barton introduced the Florentine Lace pattern in 1951 to rave reviews. They actually simply renamed an earlier pattern called Trianon that had been produced by the firm of Dominic & Haff starting in 1885. By 1951 Reed and Barton had acquired the Dominic & Haff firm and owned the pattern rights and simply reintroduced the design. It is a lovely Renaissance inspired, pattern. The salad fork is 6 1/2" long and in excellent condition with no dings, dents, or other signs of excessive use. The tines have an interesting gentle curve. It is marked with the Reed & Barton factory mark on the reverse and has never been monogrammed. Note this salad fork is pierced. It was also available in a none pierced version.
