This magnificent flow blue footed waste bowl was made by the W.H. Grindley Co prior to 1900. The pattern in called GIRONDE and it is named after an estuary in the Aquitaine region in southwest France. The pattern consists of clusters of flowers resembling roses scattered around the both the exterior and interior of pieces in the pattern. It is highlighted by gold daubs that are stippled and applied to the embossed fleur-de-lys high points around the edge. The bowl is 5 1/4" in diameter and is 3" high including the footed base. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, staining, or crazing. There are three stilt marks on the inside of the bowl. There are no utensil marks.
