From its humble beginning in Chicago, IL in 1888 Ecko eventually grew by the 1960's to be the largest producer of non-electrical housewares in the U.S.. The Canoe Muffin pattern is currently one of the company's most sought after and collectible discontinued mid-century designs. It is part of their Externa line and consists of simulated, composite, rose wood handles with forged stainless steel functional ends. The derivation of the pattern name is unknown but in profile the handles have a canoe-like shape. Be ware that there is a similar pattern simply called Canoe that has shorter wooden handles. Please check you flatware for an exact match. The price is for a set of three dinner knives. The knives are 8 7/8" long and in excellent used condition. The blades are serrated. They would blend well with a service currently being used. The handles are not chipped, cracked, or faded. The knives are marked on the blades as shown. We also have a set of 4 available too.
