This framed trivet or plaque in the discontinued, Heather pattern is an early piece of Mackenzie-Childs pottery. The firm was located in Aurora, NY and noted for its whimsical hand-crafted free-form style and decoration. MacKenzie-Childs pottery is highly sought after. The plaque including the gold wood frame is 10 1/4" square. The trivet has been cemented into the frame and is quite heavy. The back has a cork backing. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or other signs of damage. It has been fitted with a hanger and has been used as a wall decoration. It has an early Victoria & Richard and ink stamp on the reverse as shown. It is marked on the bottom as shown. Note we recently acquired a collection of this and other MacKenzie-Childs patterns that we will be adding to our shop. Please e-mail us with any questions and visit often.
