This stunning vase is done in the Royal Vienna style and is signed Wagner as shown. It is titled "Gehör" which refers to hearing music. This gorgeous footed bud vase is 5 1/2" tall and is 1 3/4" in diameter at the top. It features a portrait of a seated neoclassical woman with her right hand to her ear and holding a lute on the bench with her left hand . The vase is is excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. Note that there is evidence of corrosion (shown)from the metal housing on the underside where the base attaches to the top of the vase resulting in a flake of the gold trim. It is hard to detect unless you turn the vase over and view it from the bottom. The two portions of the vase a firmly attached and there is no wiggle. This issue appears to be due to age rather than abuse. It is marked on the bottom as shown with "Gehör", Germany, 39052, and an old registery tag. The under glaze beehive mark is partially obscured by the washer and nut that attaches the foot of the base to the top portion. This is a stunning piece and would make a fine addition to any collection. We are offering free shipping on this vase. Thanks for visiting and please e-mail us with any questions.
