The Minton factory mark on this exquisite set of twelve luncheon plates indicates that they were made exclusively for the exclusive Burley Company of Chicago between 1892-1912. These stunning plates feature a wide gold etched panel bordered by two turquoise lines. The turquoise enamel is further decorated with precisely placed large and small raised gold beads. The inner verge of the plates features features a gold filigree design. The plates are 8 7/8” in diameter and in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. There are minimal utensil marks and light gold trim wear to the outer edges of some of the plates and minor areas where areas of the gold filigree on the inner verge near the center of the plates is faded when angled to bright light on several of the plates. This is honest wear commensurate with their age and careful use and does nor seriously detract from the overall beauty of these stunning plates. These were special use plates.
