The Seneca Crystal factory in Morgantown, WV produced some of the world's finest cut crystal until the factory closed in 1983. Their clients included Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, and many other famous individuals. Their crystal was featured in Sax's, Bergdorf Goodman, and other top notch retail shops. This pattern represents the epitome of hand cut American crystal. This pattern dates from the 1930's. The cutting on this rare set of goblets is amazing and speaks for itself. The bowl is decorated with a combination of clear and gray cut floral sprays. Fine line and dot cuts decorate the foot and bottom of the bowl. The Cut is #779 and the stem is #1936. This pattern is gorgeous but was never given a name, however cut #779 on stem #4805 is Seneca’s famous Berkeley pattern. Except for the stems both are identical and interchangeable. The goblets are 8” tall and in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. They ring like a bell and shine like diamonds. They are unmarked. The price is for The set of 12.
