Our research indicates that these vintage, mid century holly and berry Christmas tumblers were produced for the Rubel Company by the Moderne Glass Company of Rochester, Pennsylvania. Rubel & Co was a posh New York company located on Fifth Avenue that produced and distributed high quality, decorative, household items. Fred Press, their executive Vice President and lead designer from 1950 through 1980’s, revolutionized the giftware industry by producing primarily exotic glassware. This set of 8 highball tumblers is in the original box with poinsettia Christmas paper wrapping. They are 5 1/2” tall with an opening diameter of 2 3/4”. They are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or other signs of wear. The box is worn and somewhat tattered with a tear on one corner. There is an original $4.00 Lord & Taylor price tag still on the box. The box of glassware weighs five pounds. The price is for the set of 8. The holly prop is not included. We combine postage, only charge what it costs, and refund any excess. We have more of these.
