Gorham Sterling made many individual designs that were not part of full production pattern lines. This unusual bonbon is only known as number 412in the old Gorham catalogs. It is a fine example of their work and probably dates from around 1900. It is 5 1/4" long. The bowl is 2 3/4" x 2". The bowl is lightly gold washed and has an exotic swirl design with a matte or butler finish. It is quite heavy. It is in excellent condition with no dings, dents, or bends and it has never been monogrammed. It is marked on the reverse with the Gorham lion, anchor, and G hallmark and the number 412.
