Wallace Romance of the Sea Sterling Pie Cake ServerWallace Romance of the Sea Sterling Pie Cake ServerWallace Romance of the Sea Sterling Pie Cake Server

The Romance of the Sea pattern was designed by Wallace's chief designer William S. Warren in 1950 and was one of their "Third Dimension Beauty" patterns. These patterns were considered sculptures. It is a midcentury design paying homage to the sea. The base of the handle features seaweed with a pearl, a stream of bubbles ascend the handle, and the tip culminates in waves with a stylized sea shell. The pattern name is signed on the back tip of each piece's handle. It is a very dramatic pattern that continues to make a statement. Offered is a 11" hollow handled pie and cake server with a stainless steel blade. One side of the blade is flat and sharp. The dark spots on the blade are from glare. It has never been monogrammed and is in excellent condition with no dings, dents, our other signs of excessive use. It was used sparingly if at all. We are offering free shipping on this item.
