Lenox's Autumn pattern was introduced in 1919 as The Autumn. By the late 1960's its popularity was waning until President Johnson's daughter selected it as her wedding china. The pattern enjoyed a resurgence in popularity and today remains one of Lenox's all time favorite patterns. This cream soup and saucer is an early production piece with the black design copyright mark together with the green Lenox Shield mark. The enamel work on the early pieces is more extensive and detailed when compared to modern pieces and is highly coveted. This is most evident in the central grape cluster. Moreover, the service this cream soup came from was stored and never used. The cream soup and stand are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. This version of the bowl does not have a gold trim line on the bottom. The stand is flat and does not have a well. It is 7" in diameter. Please compare yours for an exact match.
