Durgin introduced the elaborate and very Rococo Watteau pattern in 1891. This is a preserve or small berry spoon. It is 7 1/2" long and the bowl is approximately 2 3/4" in diameter. Serving spoons in this pattern were made with several styles of bowls. This has the radiating scallop or shell-style bowl. It has the Durgin D hallmark as shown. The spoon has a N monogram and is in excellent condition. There is a dimple on the bottom of the bowl that shows slightly on the top. It is not readily apparent because of the reflection from all the fluting in the bowl. This is a stunning example of this pattern. We are offering free shipping on this spoon.
