Johnson Bros. introduced the Friendly Village pattern in 1953. It is a classic, beloved design. Production in England ceased in 2003 and all current Friendly Village pieces are produced in China. This dinner plate was made in England and is from a huge set of Friendly Village that we recently acquired. It is 9 7/8" in diameter and marked with the early light brown trademark as shown. The artist applied highlights to the leaves and yellow around the school house are particularly strong. Please note that there is a larger size dinner plate so measure yours for an exact match. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or repairs. It was used sparingly if at all. The price is for one and you can buy up to the number remaining. We have been in business for 30 years. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Please e-mail us if you have any questions.
