Description: Splendid Zuni craftsmanship and style is exquisitely captured in this hand-wrought, stone on stone, mosaic inlay Knifewing god pin brooch from the mid-1940s (please note that stone to stone inlay is considerably more time consuming and exacting a process requiring exemplary lapidary skill than similar brooches utilizing the channel inlay technique where stones are set and separated by metal). A truly stunning amalgamation of hand-set spiny oyster, jet, mother-of-pearl and turquoise in sterling silver make this a truly marvelous and museum worthy piece.
Design: Zuni - Knifewing.
Composition: Sterling silver (acid tested), brass pin on clasp, natural turquoise, jet, mother-of-pearl, and spiny oyster.
Dimensions: 2 1/4" height x 2 1/4" length.
