Here is a perfect example of Elzac ingenuity at work! This 3 inch steer head is carved of wood, has a red celluloid ring through his nose, leather ears, a mane of calf hide, all topped off with 4 1/2 inches of lucite horns! The wood is 1/2 inch at the smallest point. The metal pin back has a c-clasp. Another unusual piece of art by Elzac.
He is really quite a charming fellow, and I have only recently discovered that he is one of Elzac's earliest pins. Add this one to your collection! Elzac creations are quite rare and collectible since they only produced jewelry from 1940 to 1942. When production began, the earliest pieces were made either of carved wood, or wood with Lucite. These are not to be overlooked, as they go for as much as $!00 to $300.
