From an estate in Fort Worth Texas. The woman who once owned it was a grande dame of Fort Worth society who fancied this necklace so much that she had her portrait painted in it. It comes in a velvet presentation box from a Fort Worth jeweler, but I don't know whether it is the original box. The interior piece is removable, and has an easel on the back of it to display the necklace. I bought this piece about 30 years ago, and it was old then.
The necklace has an interesting design of baguettes and round stones, with an emerald cut stone at the end of the catch. Because the catch is so beautiful, it may be worn front-to-back, as well as with the catch in the back. It has a fully adjustable hook closure for any sized neck.
Très charmante, n'est-ce pas?
